Heather Morris and Chord Overstreet in negotiations for Glee reboot

Original Glee cast members Heather Morris and Chord Overstreet are in negotiations to rejoin the franchise for its upcoming reboot, Deadline reported on October 22. The new series has received a series order for dual distribution on streaming platforms Disney+ and Hulu, according to TVLine. [1][6]

The potential returns follow developments surrounding former lead Lea Michele. Variety reported that Michele is returning to reprise her role as Rachel Berry, while IMDb reported that she is in talks for the role. Morris portrayed Brittany S. Pierce and Overstreet played Sam Evans on the original Fox musical comedy drama series, which aired from 2009 to 2015. [1][3][5][7][8]

Other former cast members are waiting to see if they will be invited back to the production. Season 4 cast member Becca Tobin stated on the LadyGang podcast that she is awaiting contact from series co-creator Ryan Murphy and noted there is no guarantee she will return, according to The Wrap and Yahoo.
