Actress Selma Blair released a video apology on Friday regarding an October 11 incident aboard a flight from Los Angeles to New York. Variety, NBC News, USA Today, People, and ABC News all reported that the actress publicly addressed her actions in the post. Blair stated that she was sorry and noted that she had been advised by her legal counsel not to speak earlier. [1][4][5][6][7]

Variety reported that Blair faces two state charges of second degree assault for alleged attacks on a nurse and a Port Authority officer after being removed from an aircraft at John F. Kennedy International Airport. The outlet added that she allegedly injured a flight attendant before her removal from the plane. ABC News reported that Blair stated in her video that she takes the matter very seriously. [1][7]

As FTMQ Film & TV reported earlier, the FBI and the New York Port Authority Police Department opened investigations into the alleged mid-flight altercation involving Delta Air Lines staff. Representatives for Blair previously stated that the situation was caused by a medical emergency and denied claims that she attempted to open an aircraft door mid-flight. Blair pleaded not guilty to the flight assault charges following her arrest on October 11. [11][12]

Blair has previously appeared in feature films such as Cruel Intentions and Legally Blonde. On the production side, ComingSoon reported that Blair recently completed principal photography on Dead at 27. The psychological horror film is directed by K. Asher Levin and focuses on toxic celebrity culture within the music industry. [2][8]
