Tovah Feldshuh has criticized her co-star Adam Brody following public comments he made regarding the conflict between Israel and Palestine. Feldshuh, who plays Bina Roklov in the Netflix romantic comedy series Nobody Wants This, made the statements during an interview with The New York Post, according to reports from The Wrap and Deadline. Brody plays her son, Rabbi Noah Roklov, on the show, which was created by Erin Foster. [1][2][4][12]
The disagreement follows an interview last month with GQ in which Brody called for a free Palestine and characterized the military actions in Gaza as a genocide, Variety and Deadline reported. Feldshuh responded to the statements by saying that accusing the Jewish people of genocide was wild and described the assertion as coming out of Hitler's playbook, according to reports from Variety and Deadline. [1][2][4]
The Wrap and Deadline reported that Feldshuh stated the comments took the victim and made them the perpetrator. ComingSoon noted that series creator Erin Foster has also previously addressed political differences within the production team. [2][3][4]
Nobody Wants This premiered on Netflix on September 26, 2024, starring Kristen Bell, Adam Brody, Justine Lupe, Timothy Simons, and Jackie Tohn. Brody earned nominations for a Golden Globe Award and a Primetime Emmy Award for his role as Noah Roklov, and he won the Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Actor in a Comedy Series. [12][13]
