Actress Christina Applegate confirmed on the 27 October 2026 episode of her podcast MeSsy that she will continue hosting the show and advocating for the multiple sclerosis community. The Wrap, ComingSoon, The Hollywood Reporter, and Variety all reported that Applegate addressed her audience following her recent revelation that she was misdiagnosed with the disease. [1][2][3][4]

ComingSoon and The Hollywood Reporter reported that the actress is 54 years old. Applegate told listeners on the episode that she remains committed to supporting those living with the condition, calling herself their warrior and stating that she will continue to speak out on their behalf. According to The Wrap, Applegate also shared that her physical condition is not improving and that her mobility remains severely strained. [1][2][3]

Applegate co-hosts the MeSsy podcast alongside Jamie-Lynn Sigler, as reported by The Wrap and The Hollywood Reporter. As FTMQ Film & TV reported earlier, Applegate originally received her initial multiple sclerosis diagnosis in 2021 before revealing her misdiagnosis after taking a seven-month hiatus from the audio series. [1][3][12]

Applegate gained widespread recognition playing Kelly Bundy in the Fox sitcom Married... with Children from 1987 to 1997. She later earned a Primetime Emmy Award for her guest role in Friends, alongside nominations for her roles in Samantha Who? and Dead to Me. Multiple sclerosis is a neurodegenerative autoimmune disease in which the immune system damages the central nervous system, causing muscle weakness and coordination issues. [9][10]
