Screenwriter Aaron Guzikowski has been hired to pen the script for the project, which is produced by Sir Ridley Scott and Michael Pruss through Scott Free Productions. The Wrap and Deadline both confirmed that no director is attached to the project at this stage. [1][2][3]
Plot details are being kept secret, as reported by The Wrap and Deadline. The Hollywood Reporter noted that the project is tied to the two Alien films recently directed by Scott, while Deadline indicated it is unclear if the script will follow up the 2024 film Alien: Romulus. [1][2][3]
Guzikowski wrote the 2013 film Prisoners and created the HBO Max science-fiction series Raised by Wolves. Scott served as an executive producer on Raised by Wolves and directed its first two episodes, marking his first television directing work since starting his film career. Scott directed the original 1979 Alien film, which was produced by Brandywine Productions and distributed by 20th Century-Fox. [1][2][9][10]
