Digital news outlet Straight Arrow News is shutting down operations five years after its launch, according to The Wrap. The Omaha-based outlet was founded in 2021 by billionaire businessman Joe Ricketts, the Star-Herald and the Omaha World-Herald reported. [1][5][6]
The Wrap reported that employees were notified of the closure during a staff meeting on Friday. Ricketts also confirmed the decision in an open letter published later that day. The outlet ceased publishing content immediately, although the total number of affected employees was not disclosed. [1]
