Rita Wilson indicates return for HBO comedy Girls revival series

Actress Rita Wilson has indicated that she plans to reprise her role as Evie Michaels in the upcoming revival of the HBO comedy series Girls. Speaking to People, Wilson stated that she had been privy to discussions about returning to the show, as reported by The Wrap and Variety. The new project is scheduled to begin filming next summer. The Wrap reported that series creator Lena Dunham announced the revival as a limited five-episode run. All four of the original core cast members are set to return for the production, which will air on HBO. Wilson plays the mother of the character Marnie Michaels, portrayed by Allison Williams.
