Actors Patrick Page and Sullivan Jones will not return for the fourth season of the HBO drama series The Gilded Age, Deadline reported. The news outlet stated that the cast is being taken out of rotation to service the sprawling ensemble of the period show. [1]

Page played Richard Clay, who is the secretary to George Russell, played by Morgan Spector. Jones portrayed New York Globe publisher T. Thomas Fortune. Deadline reported that both characters were first introduced in the first season as recurring roles before both actors were promoted to series regulars. [1]

The Gilded Age covers the period in United States history from about the late 1870s to the late 1890s, set between the Reconstruction era and the Progressive Era. [10]

Patrick Page will not return as Richard Clay for Season 4 of The Gilded Age.
Sullivan Jones will not return as T. Thomas Fortune for Season 4 of The Gilded Age.
Both characters were original recurring roles in Season 1 before receiving series regular promotions.
