The artificial intelligence tool Grok Imagine released a seven minute video on Friday representing the first episode of an adaptation of Homer's epic poem The Odyssey. As the AV Club and Variety both reported, the footage was published on the social media platform X in a creative collaboration with Wonder Studios. [1][2]
The release comes several months after Elon Musk stated that Grok Imagine would construct a historically accurate, full length feature film adaptation before the end of the year. The initial seven minute video depicts the character Odysseus preparing his weapons alongside his wife Penelope prior to launching his voyage. [1][2]
Musk serves as the chief executive officer of Tesla and SpaceX. Forbes estimated his personal net worth at 1.1 trillion dollars in October 2026. [7]
The digital project arrives amid broader media activity by Musk, who invested approximately one billion dollars in Skydance following its recent acquisition deals, as FTMQ Film & TV reported earlier. [10]
