Comcast beat Wall Street third quarter earnings expectations despite headwinds in its theme parks business, CNBC Media reported. Strong performance in the company's media division offset weakness in its connectivity business. The results come as Comcast is in the process of spinning off its media business into a separate publicly traded company. [1]

CNBC Media reported that the Peacock streaming service earned $261 million in adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization. The platform generated $1.8 billion in revenue, marking its second quarterly profit since launching in 2020. Peacock benefited from record viewership for the FIFA World Cup, which aired on NBCUniversal's Telemundo and Peacock as final games concluded early in the quarter. [1]

Overall revenue in the Comcast media division rose 13 percent, CNBC Media reported. The media division includes the Peacock streaming service alongside NBCUniversal assets such as film and television production, television networks, and Universal theme parks. [1][3]

Comcast is an American multinational mass media, telecommunications, and entertainment conglomerate headquartered in Philadelphia, with NBCUniversal operations based at 30 Rockefeller Plaza in New York City. Operating its connectivity services under the Xfinity brand, the company generated trailing twelve-month revenue of $124.18 billion as of mid-2025. [2][3]
