Sacha Baron Cohen Promotes New Ali G Film in London

Sacha Baron Cohen led 300 fans dressed as his satirical character Ali G through London landmarks on October 11, 2026. The Hollywood Reporter reported that the stunt preceded a public look-alike competition overseen by the actor ahead of an upcoming theatrical film release. [1]

Amazon MGM Studios is set to distribute the comedy feature, titled Ali G: Who Iz I?, into theaters for a one-week engagement starting on October 23. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Baron Cohen appeared in the character's signature yellow hoodie and pants to promote the release. [1]

Baron Cohen originated the satirical hip-hop journalist character on Da Ali G Show, which debuted in the United Kingdom in 2000 before airing on HBO. The actor is also known for creating and portraying satirical characters such as Borat Sagdiyev, Brüno Gehard, and Admiral General Haffaz Aladeen. [1][4]

Separately, Variety reported that Baron Cohen will star in Quentin Tarantino's stage play, The Popinjay Cavalier, at London's Phoenix Theatre. Written and directed by Tarantino, the theatrical production will begin previews on February 23, open on March 18, and run through June 13. [2]
