The film generated $277,500 across four screens during its opening weekend, according to Deadline, IMDb, and IndieWire. Deadline reported that the feature earned $108,300 on Friday and $84,600 on Saturday, yielding a three-day per-screen average of $69,400. [3][6][7][10]

The Los Angeles Times characterized La Bola Negra as a Spanish-language queer drama, while Deadline noted that the picture won an audience award at the Toronto International Film Festival. As FTMQ Film & TV reported earlier, Netflix broke its long-standing corporate policy to report theatrical figures for the limited release, which was directed by Javier Calvo and Javier Ambrossi.
