Skydance Chief Executive David Ellison announced the executive leadership team for the newly merged media entity, according to Deadline and the Los Angeles Times. The announced roster includes prominent Warner Bros. Discovery executives alongside Paramount executives who will transition into new corporate roles. The Los Angeles Times reported that the leadership structure incorporates executives from across streaming, television, news, and film operations. [1][2]

According to reports from Deadline and the Los Angeles Times, Warner Bros. Discovery streaming executive J.B. Perrette will take on a key leadership role under Ellison. Perrette previously worked closely with Warner Bros. Discovery Chief Executive David Zaslav. The Los Angeles Times also reported that HBO Chairman Casey Bloys, Warner Bros. Television Group Chairman Channing Dungey, and George Cheeks are joining the executive suite. [1][2]

The Los Angeles Times reported that CNN Chairman Mark Thompson and DC Studios co-chairs James Gunn and Peter Safran will also join the leadership team at Skydance. CNBC Media reported that Bari Weiss is among the executives included on the team announced by Ellison. [2][4]

Skydance Corporation is expected to form through the combination of Paramount Skydance and Warner Bros. Discovery, with the transaction scheduled to close on October 6, 2026, subject to customary closing conditions. The company will be headquartered in New York City with major operations located in Los Angeles and Atlanta. [8]
