XYZ Films co-founder Nate Bolotin is exiting the independent studio after almost two decades with the company, Variety reported. Bolotin established the label in 2008 alongside business partners Nick Spicer and Aram Tertzakian. In an official statement, the company acknowledged his leadership and service over the past 18 years as the operation grew from a small start-up into an established studio. [1]

Variety reported that XYZ Films has developed into a global operation encompassing film financing, production, international sales, and distribution. The remaining leadership team at XYZ Films described Bolotin as a trusted partner and friend since the inception of the enterprise. [1]

Based in Los Angeles, XYZ Films focuses on international genre cinema. The studio gained global prominence through its involvement with high-profile international action projects, including the 2011 Indonesian action thriller film The Raid, directed by Gareth Evans, as well as its sequel The Raid 2 and the crime feature On the Job. [2][4]

The departure marks a major leadership transition for the independent studio, which continues its operations across international sales, financing, and production. XYZ Films did not immediately announce a direct executive replacement following the departure of Bolotin. [1][4]
